自陶淵明詩《桃花源記》的引導,以畫面左下的船支作為閱覽動線的開展,將觀者自幽黑的想像中帶入一個由文字與詩詞構築而成的桃花源秘境;以奇幻繽紛的角度切入,用毛筆為媒材寫意的書畫出繁盛豐盈的烏托邦世界(理想國),並透過細膩勾勒的獨特風格,與鮮豔對比的色彩撞擊出東方漢學與現代間的連結對話。
This artwork is inspired by The Peach Blossom Spring written by Tao Yuanming, in which the boat at the bottom left of the artwork marks the beginning of the “journey.” A magical and colorful approach is adopted to bring viewers from a dark, imaginary space into a peach blossom spring built using words and poems. Ink brushes are utilized to create a rich, prosperous utopia. Furthermore, a delicate, unique painting style is compared with bright, contrasting colors to illustrate the differences between sinology and modernity.
瀏覽畫面構圖可見天地間的大山水如行雲般依序漸入的推展,整體觀點由近至遠、由平坦至峻峭,最終將感受桃花源意境描述之豁然開朗!再近一步放大觀察細節,景色中的平原丘陵、山谷流水等世界,竟巧妙的是由八隻各別呼應詩詞及展策內容所專門設定的神獸隱身構築而成,一方面隱涵人類崇敬自然萬物且天地靈性的概念,也經由視覺的探查與參與,呼應主題營造的奇幻奧妙吸引人再三玩味~
Viewers examining the artwork will see mountains and rivers expanding smoothly like moving clouds, where the focus begins with one that is flat and up-close to one that is steep and far away, exemplifying the artistic conception of the peach blossom spring. Further examinations of the artwork reveal that the natural landscape (e.g., plains, hills, valleys, and running water) is ingeniously created using eight divine beasts that echo poems and the exhibition content. The objectives are to showcase people's reverence for nature and spirituality, and to allow viewers to view and discover the fantastic landscape and divine beasts designed to echo the exhibition themes.
設計出專屬於好漢玩字的八隻角色,形塑皆取樣自山海經中具有祥瑞之意的神獸們,透過融合與轉化,神獸們聚首可以呈現桃花源景緻的完整主體,獨立呈現則可代表各自展區間的形象識別,使整體活動識別在子母架構上能夠系統的延展並維持一致和諧的調性,也企圖讓訊息在傳遞與宣傳的過程更加吸引關注與富有討論性。
The eight divine beasts designed are based on the eight auspicious divine beasts depicted in the Classic of Mountains and Seas. As a group (brought together through fusion and transformation), the beasts demonstrate the scenery of the peach blossom spring; alone, the beasts represent each individual landmark. The overall exhibition displays favorable consistency and harmony both as a unit and as a collection of various parts, allowing the messages conveyed to attract attention and invite discussions during the message transmission and promotion process.

Kongniao possesses thick wings that are comparable to narrow corridors that are difficult for people to pass through
鬃毛如草有大風使人豁然開朗
Menghuai possesses grass-like manes that evoke a sense of nature
平穩寬廣之牛背如阡陌農田
Kui possesses a smooth, wide back that resembles open farmland
水陸兩棲,有良田美池植栽繁茂
Xigui is amphibious and implies fertile farmland and ponds with lush vegetation
其大如虎日行千里、其身有紋如阡陌交通
Zouwu is a gigantic beast that can travel a thousand miles a day and possesses stripes that imply field traffic
為豐年吉獸、鄰里安穩度日
Jiao is an auspicious beast that signifies bumper harvests and safe, secure living environments
優雅飄渺如仙外之人置身其中
Zhu is elegant and dimly discernible, like a recluse
悠懶安逸如老幼怡然自得
